Joe Burrow: The Mixed Bag

Okay, maybe I'm addicted to hot takes :) Let’s talk about Joe Burrow. He’s been getting a lot of hype since he came into the NFL, and while he’s got some solid skills, his performance has been a bit of a mixed bag. Burrow’s got that classic QB look—great arm strength and a knack for making some impressive throws. He showed flashes of brilliance in his rookie season with the Cincinnati Bengals and led them to the Super Bowl in 2021, which is no small feat. His 2022 season saw him throw for over 4,400 yards and 35 touchdowns, showing he can put up numbers. But here’s the thing: Burrow’s been inconsistent, and there have been some glaring issues. His tendency to hold onto the ball too long and take unnecessary sacks has been a problem. The Bengals’ offensive line issues haven’t helped, but Burrow’s decision-making and accuracy have also been points of concern. There’ve been games where he’s struggled to find rhythm, and his performance in key moments hasn’t always been up to par. So, while Joe Burrow’s got a lot of potential and some impressive stats, he’s also had his share of struggles. He’s definitely a player to watch and can be very good, but there are enough bumps in the road that keep him from being a top-tier quarterback just yet. Quarterback Quality Rating: ⭐️⭐️
